ingredients for an instagram-style fall care day
you deserve a seasonal ritual ๐๐
- you
- hot chocolate (2 tbs cocoa powder, 1 can coconut cream, 2 cups clove tea, heated to a simmer on the stove. you can add sweetener if you want <3)
- dadโs velvet vegetarian chili
- homemade pumpkin bread (hot from the oven, topped with generous amounts of butter)
- fall-themed blankets ($5 each x2, from walmart)
- pillows
- bath and body works leaves candle (to sit open on the shelf, lighting optional)
- tiny little fairy lights, 10 ft
- thick fuzzy socks
- pajamas (the cozier the better)
- stardew valley (what if we were neighbors on the same farm...?)
- you (always you)
Fall caught up with us all in one day where I liveโsunny and 82 degrees one day, and then literally the next one was 56 and rainy. The trees all started changing color almost immediately after that, so I guess they were just waiting on the cold.
I have to admit Iโm not usually a cold-and-chilly kind of person, but I will say that between the leaves and the food and the excuse to wear fun jackets, Iโm not particularly sad about the season change. Bonfires and hot chocolate are pretty good compensation for the chillier weather, I think.
If you were writing your own fall care day list, what would you put on it?
